Surabaya's oldest course, Yani Golf Club is located near the toll road and next to Surabaya's Hilton International Hotel. The course was first opened in 1898 and is ranked in the category of "Grand Old Dames" of traditional course designs with tree lined narrow fairways. The course was built following the contours of the hilly terrain in this southern part of Surabaya. Yani could be compared with a course like Senayan or Rawamangun in Jakarta.
